Hye-Jin (pronounced "Hae-Jin") is the creative visionary behind Shelley Moon Designs, where she blends everyday to fine jewelry with sustainability. An award-winning documentary photographer with a background that includes a formative experience at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) in her early twenties, Hye-Jin brings a unique artistic perspective to her designs. Each piece reflects her joy, passion for life, and authentic self, infused with an accessible elegance.

Always curious and never content to stop exploring, Hye-Jin embraces a mindset of continuous growth and discovery. Her inspiration comes from both her own personal growth and the incredible people she surrounds herself with, who push her to reach new heights.

Outside of her artistic pursuits, she is deeply committed to mental and emotional wellness. Her dedication to personal and professional growth is fueled by mindful practices and meditation, which not only refresh her jewelry design process, but also provide true fulfillment as she continues to explore new creative avenues.

Life has a gentle way of bringing us back to where we’re meant to be. Seven years ago, Hye-Jin’s journey in jewelry began quietly in this very space - once her neighborhood hair salon, now known as ArtUs Co. The salon owner graciously offered her a small corner to share her handmade pieces, and during Austin Fashion Week, she took a humble leap of faith with her very first pop-up. It was here that Shelley Moon Designs quietly came to life, guided by creativity, courage, and community.

As of September 2025, she returns to this same space - now as her new studio - with a heart full of gratitude. Surrounded by a talented community of local fine artists and makers, she sees this new chapter as a gentle continuation of her journey.

Looking ahead, Shelley envisions expanding her creative path beyond jewelry. In 2026, she plans to thoughtfully weave wellness into her work - creating meaningful connections between artistry, mindfulness, and self-care. Through hosting intimate gatherings and events centered around mental health and holistic well-being, she hopes to nurture a community that celebrates both inner and outer beauty.

With peace, humility, and deep appreciation, she steps forward into this new chapter - one that honors creativity, healing, and the quiet joy of mindful living.
