All our pieces are crafted from solid 14k gold—not plated, filled, or vermeil—ensuring durability while retaining malleability. Normal wear may result in scratches, particularly noticeable on larger surface areas over time.

With our SMD Concierge Service, available for up to three years, we cover the cost of repairs, polishing, and even stone resetting for your SMD fine jewelry. We handle the shipping costs for both return and reshipment.

Services include: polishing, cleaning, stone resetting, engraving removal, and broken chain repairs.

Please note that this service excludes kinked herringbone chains. Refer to the product page for proper care instructions for necklaces.

Please note that repairs can take up to 6-8 weeks.

Damage due to neglect, abuse, or natural wear and tear will be repaired for a flat rate of $100, unless SMD deems otherwise. SMD reserves the right to charge fees or repairs using our professional discretion.

Due to the nature of herringbone chains, hollow hoops, and hollow link chains, these pieces may not be able to be repaired.

Please note that most SMD pieces are handmade and may have attributes that vary slightly from what is portrayed on our website. These are not defects and will not be repaired. All of our stones are natural, not dyed or heat treated. No stone is exactly alike, and slight color variations and inclusions are normal.

All repairs originating from Hawaii or Alaska will require an additional $20 fee to cover shipping surcharges.

We do not currently offer repairs for international orders.

Our ring resizing service is only available for fine jewelry purchases and custom pieces. 

Custom sized and resized pieces are made to order and can take up to 15 business days for production, with delays during peak periods.

Custom sized pieces are not eligible for return or exchange.
